Bhumi Pednekar celebrates 9 years of journey in Bollywood: 'I always wanted to be an actress'

Bhumi Pednekar shared a long gratitude letter on completing 9 years of journey in the industry. Bhumi made her debut with Ayushmann Khurrana in the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. In the film, she played the character of an overweight woman whose husband was not happy with her physical appearance. Sharing a video from the film, Bhumi wrote, “It's been 9 years… I'm so grateful to wake up every day and be able to do what I love so much. I always wanted to be an actor. I It manifested as a child. I believed it was going to happen to me and here we are. Every opportunity that came my way took me one step closer to my dream. From my first job as a casting assistant From Lekar Dum Laga Ke Haisha to Bhakshak, it has been very satisfying.”

Thanking the audience for the love and support, Bhumi wrote, “Thank you to my audience for accepting me so lovingly. All my filmmakers, co-stars and my support team are full of gratitude. Special thanks to @shanosharmarahihai for being there.” This is the highest.”

Thanking Aditya Chopra, who launched her in the film, she wrote, “With the blessings of my father who always takes care of us from heaven above and my mother, Samu, friends and family who have always given me unconditional love.” “I enter my 10th year motivated to move forward.”

A few days ago, Bhumi had shared a long note as she received a gold coin as a mark of appreciation from her mother for her performance in Bhakkar. An excerpt from Bhumi's post read, “Whenever mom feels I have grown as an actor, she gives me a gold coin. After watching Bhakkar, I remember how much mom I was overwhelmed and I knew somewhere that I had another one coming. I remember thinking, “Come back home.” Nobody spoke. Once we were home, Samiksha started talking to me and she just had tears flowing from her eyes. She said – This film is about more than what it does for you, it's about what it does for those kids.
