Allahabad HC issues contempt notice to top education officials in UP |

Lucknow: Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has issued contempt notice to Principal Secretary Basic Education MKS Sundaram and Secretary Basic Education Aparna U on the contempt petition filed in the dispute of one mark in the matter of appointment to 69000 posts. Singh had claimed that the state authorities had not complied with the court's earlier order of November 28, 2023. Counsel for the petitioners argued that the court had passed the order while deciding several petitions because the state authorities had given assurances to the court (Allahabad High Court). An additional mark was to be awarded to the eligible candidates and all exercises in this regard would be completed within two months.
Counsel for the petitioners claimed that despite the lapse of more than two months, the state authorities have not complied with the said order of the court. Amit Singh Bhadoria,
The lawyer said, he said that this is a deliberate disobedience of the court order and comes under the ambit of contempt of court. After hearing the case, the court has issued contempt notices to both the top respondent officials of the Basic Education Department and directed to list the matter in the week starting from March 11.
