Apple is settling chip secrets theft case

Feb 10, 2024

Apple Said it had reached an agreement that would potentially settle it by 2022 trial Startup Revos accused of poaching engineers to steal trade secrets.
In a joint court filing Friday, the companies told a judge they aim to finalize a settlement resolving their claims against each other by March 15. “The agreement provides for the redress of Apple's confidential information based on a forensic investigation of Revos' systems and other activities,” according to the filing in federal court in San Jose, California.
The controversy began when Apple sued former Revos employees, accusing them of working with a “stealth-mode” startup to take proprietary information about chip designs that would make iPhones more powerful. Representatives for Apple and Rivos did not respond to requests for comment.
