New Delhi: Middle order batsman Kamindu Mendis and captain Dhananjay De Silva Scored a century defeating Sri Lanka bangladesh They took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series by winning by 328 runs on the fourth day of the opening Test on Monday.
In the second innings, with the help of Kamindu's 164 runs and De Silva's 108 runs, Bangladesh set a huge winning target of 511 runs. SylhetSri Lanka bowled out the host team for 182 runs in 49 overs.

On the third day, Kamindu and de Silva put on a 173-run partnership, helping Sri Lanka score 418, which is only the third time in history that the same pair have made two 150-plus partnerships in the same Test match.
Bangladesh lost half their team on Sunday with only 47 runs on the board – still needing 464 runs to win – then folded after a late struggle on the fourth day, Kasun Rajitha 5-56 and taking Vishwa Fernando Taking 3-36.
Mominul Haq fought back with an unbeaten 87 but was unable to stop the inevitable.

Earlier in the contest, Kamindu and de Silva put on 102 on a difficult surface as Sri Lanka were all out for 280 on the first day.
After Bangladesh's Khalid Ahmed and Nahid Rana took six wickets each, Sri Lanka's fast bowlers shone and gave the hosts a lead of 92 runs.
Fernando took four wickets, with Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara taking three each, before Dimuth Karunaratne's 36th Test half-century helped the tourists extend their lead late on the second day.
The second test will start from March 30 in Chattogram.
