Declaring the results here on Sunday, board chairman Anand Kishore said that a total of 13,79,842 students, including 6,99,549 girls and 6,80,293 boys, have passed the matriculation board examination with good marks. “A total of 4,52,302 passed first division, while 5,24,965 students secured second division and 3,80,732 secured third division. The overall pass percentage of boys is 84.45% while the pass percentage of girls is 81.4%,” he said.
Kishore also said that the overall pass percentage has improved compared to the last six years as the monthly examination was conducted from August last year and it was mandatory for the students to appear in it and their copy was given to them as reference. .

BSEB is the first examination board to declare the results in the month of March,” he said while addressing media persons.
Kishore said: “This achievement has been possible with the help of technology and computerized format used in the examination. We introduced a series of technological advancements including the use of pre-printed barcodes and litho code answer copies, speeding up the evaluation process through computerization.
A total of 16,64,252 students appeared for the Class 10 examination held from February 15 to February 23 at 1,585 examination centers across the state.
