BSEB Inter 2024 saw a pass percentage of 87.21: Check the trends of the last 5 years


Bihar School Examination Board on Saturday declared the result of BSEB Inter Exam 2024 on its official website. Students who appeared in the Bihar Board Class 12 examination can check their marksheet by logging into the BSEB portal. Apart from declaring the results, BSEB also announced the list of toppers and released statistics regarding the number of students who appeared for the exam, passing percentage and other details.
This year, in 2024, Bihar Inter exam started from February 1 and will continue till February 12, 2024. It was reported that a total of 12,916,48 candidates had registered for the exam. Out of which 11,26,439 candidates have successfully passed the Bihar Board Class 12 examination. The overall passing percentage was 87.21. Stream wise, the pass percentage is as follows – 86.15 for Arts stream, 94.88 for Commerce stream and 87.80 for Science stream.
In 2023, Class 12 exams were held from February 1 to February 11. The results came on 21 March. Around 13,04,586 students appeared for these examinations and out of them, 10,91,948 students passed. Its overall passing percentage is 82.74. Notably, in the Arts stream, 6,68,526 students appeared, out of which 5,53,150 passed.
Returning back in 2022, the Class 12 board exams were held from February 1 to February 14. The results were declared on March 16, 2023. A total of 1,32,579 students from various streams appeared for the Bihar Board Intermediate exam. The overall pass rate was 80.15.
In 2021, Bihar Board conducted the Class 12th or Intermediate examinations from February 1 to 13 at 1,473 centers in the state. The results were declared on 26 March. Out of 13,40,266 students who appeared for the exam, 10,45,950 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 78.05.
Moving on to 2020, the BSEB Inter exam was held from February 3 to February 13, with around 12 lakh students appearing at 1,283 centers across the state. Of these, 9 lakh students successfully passed the examination.
Going back further to 2019, Bihar Board 12th examinations were held from February 3 to February 13. More than 12 lakh candidates appeared, of which 5.38 lakh were girls and 6.56 lakh were boys. The passing percentage of all students was 79.76. Specifically, in Arts, 4,25,550 students passed; 59,135 students passed in Commerce and 5,35,110 students passed in Science. The pass percentage for Arts, Commerce and Science was 76.53, 93.02 and 81.20 respectively.
