BYD Dolphin EV: Global Specs
The electric hatchback is available with two battery pack options in global markets: a 44.9 kWh unit that offers 340 km range (WLTP cycle) and a larger 60.4 kWh pack that offers 427 km range. The model has the company's blade battery.
According to BYD, the battery can be charged 30-80% in just 29 minutes using a 100 kW DC charger. The Dolphin produces 201 hp and 290 Nm with its electric motor, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7 seconds. The top speed for the Dolphin EV is set at 160 kmph.

BYD Dolphin EV: India launch
While the trademark filing indicates interest, BYD has not officially confirmed an Indian launch for the Dolphin. However, if the model does come to India, it will be BYD's most affordable EV in India, potentially opening the door to a wider customer base.
The e6 MPV is currently BYD's most affordable option in India, priced at around Rs 29 lakh, with the Dolphin's sticker price likely to be significantly lower than its stablemate.
