“I really went in with some thought process and I wanted to know from the guys who will be coming in, to include them in my thought process because I know how the IPL works and what it takes to be a successful team. is necessary, so it takes time to get everyone on board and ask them to do something that they are not accustomed to doing, for example, there are a lot of cricketers, foreign players, local players who have come into the team. And I know the Wankhede Stadium because I have played there, I have grown up there, so I know what works there, what you need to do.”

Rohit has led MI to five IPL titles – 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 – making him the joint most successful captain in the tournament along with MS Dhoni.
