Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant hat-trick as Al Nassr defeated Abha 8-0 in a Saudi Pro League match at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium on Tuesday. Apart from scoring three goals, the 39-year-old striker also assisted two and helped his team register an impressive win. His first goal came in the form of a free-kick in the 11th minute of the match. The other two came in the 21st and 42nd minutes respectively. This was the 65th hat-trick of Ronaldo's career and consecutive hat-trick for Al Nassr.

Earlier in March, Saudi Arabia's football governing body suspended Cristiano Ronaldo for one game for a gesture he made on the field the previous weekend, which was deemed “provocative”.

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation said the Al-Nassr captain and former Porto star was fined a total of 30,000 riyals ($8,000) for the move, which broke rules against inciting the public during a match. The decision cannot be appealed.
