New Delhi: Praveen AmreDelhi Capitals (DC) assistant coach has appreciated Rishabh PantNotable return to form during the team's pre-season camp, claiming that Pant's batting ability remains “as good as it was” despite a 14-month absence from the game due to injury. Following a tragic car accident in December 2022, Pant's exceptional performance in the camp is a promising sign ahead of his return in the upcoming IPL season.
“As a coaching unit and individually, it was really enjoyable to watch him bat. It didn't feel like he was batting for a long time,” Amre expressed as quoted by DC in a media release. The team is focused on making a strong start to the tournament, with an emphasis on providing the best possible conditions for its players to excel. Amre highlighted the importance of practice matches and group sessions to fine-tune the team's preparations for the IPL.
