Ex-India Star’s “Won’t Earn Team’s Respect” Post Goes Viral. Fans Find Hardik Pandya Link

Hardik Pandya has been in the news, but not for the right reasons. Ever since he took over the captaincy of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians, he has faced extreme criticism from fans. Seeing their beloved Rohit Sharma sacked from the leadership role, fans are booing Hardik on the field and even abusing him. Mumbai Indians' results in the IPL 2024 campaign also didn't help Hardik, with the franchise losing three consecutive games. Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan took aim at Hardik in a cryptic post on Twitter after he failed to take advantage of his good start in the match against Rajasthan Royals on Monday.

In a series of posts on X, Irfan explained how important it is for a leader to work hard for the team if he has to earn the team's respect.

“People who understand the game well know this. If you are set, you have to look at the team,” Irfan wrote in the first post.

His second post read, “You always want your leader to work hard. If he doesn't do that, he won't get the respect of his team.”

After MI suffered their third consecutive defeat of the season, Hardik admitted that his dismissal changed the course of the match.

“Yes, a tough night, we didn't start the way we wanted to. I wanted to compete, we were in a good position to get around 150-160, but my wickets helped them get back into the game. “I needed to do a lot more. It's okay, we didn't expect such a surface, but you can't always have it as a batsman, sometimes it's good for the bowlers to have their say.” Is.

“It's all about doing the right things, (the right) results sometimes happen, sometimes they don't. As a group, we believe we can do much better, But we need to be a little more disciplined and show a lot more courage, Hardik said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
