Gujarat Titans are performing well in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 2022 champions are playing under the leadership of young batsman Shubman Gill after the departure of their original captain Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians. GT has played three matches so far and won two of them. Their only defeat came against Chennai Super Kings, where they lost the game by 63 runs. However, in their previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gill and Co. registered a comfortable seven-wicket win in Ahmedabad.

Despite playing only two seasons in the IPL, GT has gathered a huge fan base across the world. The best example of his fandom was seen in a video, which is now going viral on social media.

The viral footage is believed to be from the match against SRH, where a young fan was seen jumping on the seat and cheering happily for GT. He became so excited that he took off his T-shirt while dancing and threw it away.

Netizens immediately compared their celebration to the viral meme of a football match, where a fan was seen dancing enthusiastically for his team.

Talking about the match, veteran seamer Mohit Sharma was at his best in the last over with impressive figures of 3/25, while Afghan spin twins Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed dominated the middle overs as GT defeated SRH Was restricted to a paltry 162 runs. After /8, Pat Cummins decided to bat.

South African batsman David Miller, despite cramps, chased the small target by playing an unbeaten inning of 44 runs in 27 balls and ended the game by hitting a six off Jaydev Unadkat on the first ball of the last over.

Sai Sudarshan also upped his game, top-scoring for GT with 45 off 36 balls as GT won with five balls to spare.

GT will now take on Punjab Kings in their next IPL 2024 match on Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
