Former Karnataka Player K Hoysala Dies Due To Heart Attack After Match

Former Karnataka junior cricketer K Hoysala died of cardiac arrest after the match against Tamil Nadu in the South Zone IA and AD tournament at the RSI grounds on Friday. He was 34 years old. Hoysala, who represented Karnataka in the age-group tournament, collapsed on the field while attending the post-match crowd.

He was given CPR on the spot and then taken to nearby Bowring Hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.

Hoysala also wore the Shivamogga Lions jersey in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL), later rebranded as the KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy, for a few seasons.
