French envoy inaugurates Phase II of Cryolor’s Tamil Nadu plant

The unit produces 400 tanks per year and serves both domestic and international markets. Ambassador Matthau, who is on a brief visit to Tamil Nadu, on Saturday inaugurated the Phase II plant and also unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion, an official release said.
The ambassador was accompanied by senior Cryolor officials and Consul General of France in Puducherry and Chennai, Lise Talbot Barre, the release said.
The company had signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government in July 2021, promising to invest Rs 70 crore that will create over 90 jobs at the facility.
To meet the huge demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, Cryolour increased the production of oxygen tanks at the facility and distributed approximately 50 additional tanks across India. Tea
The company has installed a free oxygen delivery system at the government hospital in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, the release said.
