New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore all rounder Glen Maxwell has revealed that he is “takingmental and physical break“Due to his poor form and a “hip strain”.
The 35-year-old, who has scored only 32 runs at an average of 5.33 in six innings, has pulled out of his last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, saying “the physical and mental pressure has probably let me down a bit.”

In an appearance on ESPN's 'Around the Wicket' show, Maxwell revealed his hip injury, saying, “I've actually got a bit of a strain on my hip, so I've got a few more days off during my recovery. ”

He added, “So I have a little period here where I'm still training, still trying to get myself right. If a spot becomes available, I'll obviously put my hand up and “I'll take it.”
Maxwell stressed that his return to the team is not based on a fixed timeline, saying, “It's not one of those things where I set a date that I'll be out for three matches and then when “I'll be back. It doesn't work that way. I'm not at a good enough level to get a spot in the team this year.”
Maxwell will play in Major League Cricket

The second edition of the USA Franchise League is scheduled to begin on July 4.
Maxwell expressed his excitement, saying, “I've been talking to Ricky Ponting and some of the other players a lot for quite some time and I'm obviously really excited to be involved.”
He further said, “This is a tournament that I watched from a distance last year and was very excited about the fact that one day I would play this tournament and luckily the timing has become the same this year.”
