India captain Rohit Sharma, batsman Virat Kohli, star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and flamboyant all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have retained their places at the top level. Shreyas Iyer And Ishan Kishan Not included in any category.
Ishan has not featured for Jharkhand throughout the team's Ranji Trophy campaign despite not being on national duty since leaving the South Africa tour last December citing personal reasons. Instead he has focused on preparing for the IPL next month.

However, middle-order batsman Iyer has been selected for the Ranji semi-finals starting on March 2.
After BCCI announced its central contract for players, former India cricketer Irfan Pathan Took to social media and said: Both Shreyas and Ishaan are talented cricketers. “Hopefully they will bounce back and come back stronger.”
“If players like Hardik do not want to play red-ball cricket, should he and others like him participate in white-ball domestic cricket when not on national duty? If this does not apply to all, then Indian cricket Won't be able to achieve the desired results!'', Pathan said.
While announcing the central contracts, BCCI once again advised all Indian cricketers to play domestic games when not on national duty.
The exclusion of Iyer and Kishan can be seen as a strong message to young players who are not willing to put in the hard work in first-class cricket while chasing white-ball glory and lucrative IPL contracts.
