Holi, the festival of colours, is a celebration of vibrancy, happiness and of course family ties and close ties. It symbolizes the blossoming of spring after the long winter season. On the day of Holi, people gather and apply dry and wet colors on each other.

Many people, especially children, celebrate the festival by playing with water balloons and water guns. Like any other festival, people also feed each other special Holi dishes like Gujhiya.
