IPL 2024 Not MS Dhoni’s Last Season, Suresh Raina’s Big Reveal

MS Dhoni's influence and charm on cricket, especially the IPL, is not going to end any time soon. Ahead of IPL 2024, the 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman stepped down as Chennai Super Kings captain but has still dominated the game with his presence. Recently he hit Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya with a hat-trick of sixes, which left all the fans and cricket experts stunned. Dhoni is trying every day to keep pace with his age and set new examples for the coming generation.

Amidst all this action, another thing which is on everyone's mind is Dhoni's possible retirement from IPL. Everyone is curious to know whether the 42-year-old will continue to play for CSK in IPL 2025.

Recently, former CSK batsman Suresh Raina, who is one of the commentators on Geo Cinema, was asked, “Will Dhoni play another season of IPL?”

Raina responded with an emphatic one-word reply, “Khelenge. (He will play)”.

Former India fast bowler RP Singh, who was part of the panel, smiled at Raina's confident response and said that now it looks like MSD has two more seasons left in him.

Earlier, Raina had also revealed the CSK star's reaction on hearing the Bhojpuri commentary. Dhoni is a resident of Jharkhand.

“MS Dhoni was discussing Bhojpuri commentary. He said, 'You are doing very amazing commentary in Bhojpuri.' (He is doing very good work in Bhojpuri) I told him that Haryanvi is also good,” Raina revealed while talking on Geo Cinema.

Talking about the game against arch-rivals MI, Dhoni scored 20 runs in four balls in the IPL's El Clasico.

MI captain Hardik Pandya had to be the victim of his anger. Ultimately, the 20 runs scored by CSK were crucial as the team won by 20 runs.
