JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration deadline extended till Mar 4: Check photo uploading instructions, form fee and other details


JEE Main 2024 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the online registration window for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024 Session 2 today (March 2) in an official notice. Eligible candidates will be able to register themselves on the official website- for an extended period till March 4, 2024, by 10:50 pm and pay the fee by 11:50 pm.
The notice reads, “This opportunity is being provided to all those candidates who had applied for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 but could not register earlier for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2 , as well as for those candidates who want to apply for a new candidate for JEE (Main)-2024 Session 2.”
The notice emphasizes that this is a one-time opportunity and encourages candidates to avail it wisely. There will be no further chance to apply or make corrections for JEE Main 2024 Session 2. To correct any errors, candidates should visit the website and confirm their information. They must update any missing information in their application form by the last date of March 7, 2024 (by 11:50 pm). After this date, NTA will not accept correction requests. JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Application Fee
To successfully submit their online application, candidates are required to pay the application fee for JEE Main 2024. Payment can be made only through online mode using methods like credit card, debit card, net banking, Paytm or UPI. It is important to note that the application fee has been revised for all categories and for both Indian and foreign candidates. There are different fees for candidates choosing one paper and candidates choosing multiple papers.
For male candidates from unreserved/EWS/OBC categories, the fee is Rs 1,000 for centers in India and Rs 5,000 for centers outside India.
Female candidates in the same categories are required to pay Rs 800 for centers in India and Rs 4,000 for centers outside India. There is a reduced fee of Rs 500 for centers in India and Rs 2,500 for centers outside India for SC/ST/PWD/Transgender category candidates. Here is a table for better understanding-

Detailed instructions on how to upload your photo
While filling the JEE Main exam form, candidates must upload their recent photographs, within the guidelines specified as per NTA. Candidates are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines. It is necessary to have latest scanned photograph and signature for submission. Here are some important details to remember while uploading scanned images:

  • The photograph must be in color or black/white with clear contrast, and must bear the name of the candidate and the date the photograph was taken.
  • Hats or sunglasses are not allowed in the photo, but glasses are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
  • Due to unclear photograph the application form will be rejected.
  • Candidates are advised to keep 6-8 identical photographs for future purposes including seat allotment and admission process.
