KKR vs LSG IPL 2024 Live Score: Kolkata Knight Riders are back on their home ground and will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.

After a great start, in which they won three matches, KKR were handed a reality check by Chennai Super Kings. Although they won't be unhappy with three wins and one loss so far, the loss to CSK showed that even their strong batting lineup can be vulnerable.

The best news for KKR is that they will now play five consecutive home matches. In a hectic IPL schedule, where the game-travel-practice-play routine is the norm, three weeks of staying at home will definitely be something to cherish. They started their campaign this season with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad here at the Eden and will go into Sunday's match with confidence.

Their rivals LSG have also won three, but will be coming in after a defeat on Friday. They will also be eager to get their campaign back on track. For the record, KKR has never defeated LSG. Will there be a new dawn in the Bengali New Year?

Although LSG started their campaign with a defeat, they recovered remarkably before Delhi Capitals brought them back down to earth.

KKR will also be fresh after a five-day break, having played their last match on April 8. They are not practicing much during this period, spending some quality time away from cricket and visiting temples.

KKR has fielded some unexpected stars this time. Although Nitish Rana has been out of the last three matches due to an injured thumb, young Angkrish Raghuvanshi has stepped in beautifully. However, even though last season's captain is clearly fit now, it is unlikely he will be rushed back into the fold.

The focus will also be on Mitchell Starc, whose price is very high. Twenty20 is not Starc's favorite format, yet KKR have gambled on him and expect him to perform well, especially in the death overs. KKR's strategy revolves around their spinners, although Rana believes that players like Sunil Narine have not got the surface they would have liked at Eden.

KKR will be hoping that their spinners control the game in the middle overs, setting the stage for Starc to be at his best in the death overs.

But then again, LSG will be more than ready to counter KKR's tactics and will have the right kind of arsenal in the form of Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran among others. If there is turn, Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya are there to take advantage, and KKR have shown their weakness against spin.

Debutant fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who is struggling with an injury, is likely to be absent from the LSG line-up.

Even though the weather in Kolkata has been unpredictable for quite some time, the hardships of tropical heat are creeping into daily life. April Sunday afternoons can be quite hot and humid. And there is ample potential for fireworks to raise the temperature at the Eden Ground in a tightly contested T20 match, which starts at 3.30pm.
