KTET 2024 to be held on June 22 & 23; Check important dates, exam pattern and more


KTET 2024 Notification: Kerala Examination Board has released the official notification for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for April 2024 cycle. This paves the way for candidates wishing to teach in schools in Kerala to showcase their qualifications.
The application window opens on April 17, 2024 and closes on April 26, 2024. The entire application process will be conducted online on the official KTET website https://ktet.kerala.gov.in/. Don't forget to download and save the final printout of your filled application form by 26th April.
KTET 2024: Paper Categories
KTET is conducted for four categories for different learning levels:
• Category I: Lower Primary (Classes 1 to 5)
• Category II: Upper Primary (Class 6 to 8)
• Category III: High schools (classes 9 and 10) with various subject specializations.
• Category IV: High School for Sanskrit teachers (Classes 9 and 10).

KTET 2024: Exam Pattern
KTET exam format is generally the same across all categories. Each exam generally consists of two parts:
• Part I: Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory for all categories)
• Part II: Subject-specific knowledge (varies depending on category selected)

KTET 2024 Notification Released: How to Apply
Step 1: Visit the KTET website https://ktet.kerala.gov.in/ during the application window (April 17 – April 26, 2024).
Step 2: Click on “New Registration” link and fill the online application form carefully providing accurate details regarding your educational qualification, experience (if any) and other relevant information.
Step 3: Make sure that you have uploaded the scanned copies of all the required documents as per the notification. These may include educational certificates, mark sheets, identity proof and category certificates (if applicable).
Step 4: Pay the requisite application fee online using debit/credit card or net banking facility.
Step 5: Review your application form carefully for any errors or omissions. Once everything is accurate, submit the application electronically.
Step 6: Don't forget to download and print a copy of the final application form with the system-generated registration ID for your records.
