Kunal Khemu wrote, “From the first day of shooting till the last pack up day on the set.” Madgaon Express, Each day has been very special in many ways. And I couldn't have done it without my amazing team of actors and technicians. There are many shades of friendship that the film shows and many shades of my own personality that I got to see through this film. I wish you all a very happy Holi and thank you very much for the love you have shown our film. May this festival of colors bring you all happiness and good wishes.”

For his NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Madgaon Express 3 out of 5 stars and said, “Madgaon Express It's a harshness that even with the post-climactic scenes never coming close to overstaying their welcome – they interrupt the end credits in a novelistic, egotistical fashion – generating plenty of surprises and “Forcing the audience to stay until everything is done and dusted.”

Saibal Chatterjee further added, “Apart from a script that never stops delivering generous doses of hilarity, the comic timing achieved by the three actors lends liveliness to this riotous farce. Each of the three lead actors successfully uses their own style to fit the character they play. Under the guise of a staunch skeptic, Avinash Tiwari exudes strength and determination, delighting in his measured acting.”

Madgaon Express It is backed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment.
