Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission of India on 16 March announced the voting schedule for the upcoming general elections 2024.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases. Voting begins with the first phase of elections on April 19. After this, the second phase will take place on April 26, followed by the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20; The sixth phase is scheduled for May 25 and the seventh phase for June 1, 2024. Counting of votes will take place on June 4, 2024.

The first phase of voting in Rajasthan will begin on April 19 and end on April 26, 2024. According to the ECI Lok Sabha election schedule for 2024, elections will be held in Rajasthan in only two phases. There are 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan and voting will be held here in two phases.

Schools and colleges will remain closed on these dates in Rajasthan for Lok Sabha elections 2024.

Schools and colleges are often closed during general elections due to various reasons. Schools in urban as well as rural areas act as polling stations, which need to be closed for polling, voting and subsequent counting and other processes. Additionally, security concerns to ensure minimal disruption to students and staff during a potentially volatile election period also contributed to the closure.
