Moderately strong earthquake shakes Montenegro and neighbouring countries in the Western Balkans


Podgorica: moderately strong Earthquake shook montenegro There was firing in the early hours of Thursday in neighboring countries but there were no reports of any casualties or serious damage. Milena Tomanovic, from the Institute for Hydrology and Seismology of Montenegro, told reporters that the strongest earthquake was followed by 30 smaller earthquakes.

“We have been on the ground since the morning. Luckily we have not recorded any damage so far,” said Bieleka civil defense chief Veselin Vujovic.
In 2020, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck central Croatia, killing several people and injuring many more.
