New Delhi: Former legend of Chennai Super Kings Suresh Raina Former teammate and Indian cricket icon MS Dhoni was praised after his explosive batting performance against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League clash on Sunday.
While Delhi Capitals secured their first win of the IPL 2024 season with a 20-run win over CSK at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, it was Dhoni's late batting that grabbed the headlines.
Known for his tremendous power-hitting, Dhoni's vintage 'Thala' personality was on full display as he scored an unbeaten 37 off just 16 balls at a strike rate of over 231, which included four fours and three sky-high sixes. Dhoni displayed his mastery by outclassing the South African fast bowler in a breathtaking climax to the match Enrique Nortje 20 runs were scored in the last over, which included two fours and two sixes.

With 5,528 runs in 205 IPL matches at an average of 32.51 and a strike rate of 136.73, Raina is the fifth-highest run-scorer in IPL history, underscoring his significant contribution to the league.
Meanwhile, Dhoni's illustrious IPL career consists of 5,119 runs at an average of 39.07, including 24 half-centuries, which shows his lasting impact and legacy in the tournament.
