Israeli PM netanyahu Said on Friday that he has ordered the army to prepare a plan to evacuate civilians from there Refa ahead of expectations Israeli invasion of densely populated southern Gaza city. The announcement came after heavy international criticism, including from the US, of Israeli intentions to move ground forces into the city bordering Egypt. Rafah had a pre-war population of 280,000, and is now home to approximately 1.4 million additional people displaced by the war. Israel says Rafah is Hamas's last remaining stronghold. “It is impossible to achieve the war goal of eliminating Hamas by leaving four Hamas battalions in Rafah,” Netanyahu's office said.
