NTA Shifts JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Start Date to April 4 from April 1; Check Details Here

New Delhi: In a significant development, the National Testing Agency (NTA) recently passed the Joint Entrance Examination Main (jee main) 2024 session 2. The original start date of April 1 has been rescheduled, with the new start date now set for April 4 to April 15. Potential candidates will have to complete the registration process by March 2 to participate in the exam.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a standardized computer based testing Designed for admission to a range of technical graduate programs in engineering, architecture and planning offered by both private and government colleges.
The examination is conducted in two phases. During the first phase, which took place between January 27 and February 1, 11.7 lakh out of 12.21 lakh students registered across the country appeared for the examination.
The January session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main saw a record-breaking 95.8% attendance, crossing the 11 lakh mark for the first time. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted JEE Main, and Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) attracted over 11 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based video analytics was employed to monitor the examination centers to ensure prevention of cheating.
There has been an increase of 27% in the number of candidates registered this year as compared to last year.
The application window for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 started on February 2, 2024 at jeemain.nta.ac.in. The purpose of the examination is to facilitate admission to undergraduate engineering programs and to establish eligibility for enrollment in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
