On the occasion of veteran actor Satish Kaushik's 68th birth anniversary, Anupam Kher wrote an emotional note on Instagram remembering his best friend. “Happy Birthday my dear #Satish! Anupam Kher also released a video which shows his memorable moments spent with Satish Kaushik. Recently during the promotion of his film paper 2Anupam Kher made him a part of the program by keeping a chair for Satish Kaushik in his memory. Satish Kaushik died of a heart attack on March 9, 2023, at the age of 66. After making his debut in 1983 with several films including Anil Kapoor's Woh 7 Din and Shekhar Kapur's Masoom, he remained in Hindi cinema for four decades.

He worked in many films in the 80s and 90s, including classic films like Ram Lakhan and Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. However, it was his role as the beloved Calendar in the 1987 classic Mr. India that established Satish Kaushik as a household celebrity.

He wrote the screenplay for the cult classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and directed popular films like Queen of beauty King of thieves, we live in your heart And To you, He will be seen posthumously in the film Emergency directed by Kangana Ranaut.
