‘Only thing missing…’: Nasser Hussain has his fingers crossed for Kohli vs Anderson battle | Cricket News

New Delhi: India are ready to announce the squad for the final three Test matches against England in a day or two, says former England captain Nasir Hussain is expecting Virat Kohli Returning for the remainder of the series.
Kohli had earlier pulled out of the first two Test matches citing personal reasons and his return for the last three matches is still unclear.
With England pulling off a surprise win in Hyderabad and India staging a spectacular comeback in Vizag to draw 1-1, Hussain feels there is only one thing missing in a thrilling series. Virat Kohli vs James Anderson war.
The Anderson vs Kohli rivalry has been a remarkable affair over the years, with the England legend dismissing India's star batsman 7 times in 25 matches in the traditional format.
“I hope he comes back because the only thing that is missing in this series is the battle between Kohli and Jimmy Anderson. I am looking forward to it,” Hussain said in a question-and-answer session for the Daily Mail.
Hussain also feels that Kohli's return will bring even more ruthlessness to the Indian team.
“One thing about India is that their performance has been a bit loose in three of their four innings. I know Rahul Dravid and by now he would be ticking while getting a few dismissals. India will be thinking,' We'll keep going' teasing England here, let's be more ruthless.' And one thing Kohli is, he is absolutely ruthless,'' Hussain said.
Sources had earlier said that top BCCI officials will talk to Kohli to get a clear picture on his participation in the series.
“The BCCI press release states that family comes first and Virat will play only when he feels he is in a position to play,” a BCCI source told PTI.
