Pakistan air strikes kill eight, including children, in Afghan border areas, says Kabul


New Delhi: Eight people, including three children, were killed in air strikes by Pakistan on Monday in border areas of Afghanistan, a Taliban government spokesman said, strongly condemning the attack.
According to spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, “At around 3:00 pm (2230 GMT), Pakistani aircraft bombed civil house“In the Khost and Paktika areas near the Pakistani border.
“Six people, including three women and three children, were killed in Paktika province,” he said, adding that two women were also killed.
Calling it an attack on Afghanistan's sovereignty, the spokesman said the Taliban government “strongly condemns these attacks and calls this reckless action a violation and attack on Afghanistan's sovereignty”.
Tension along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has escalated since the Taliban took power in 2021, with Islamabad accusing terrorist groups of launching attacks from Afghan territory.
