Pakistan: Islamabad court orders to produce Imran Khan and his wife on April 4


Islamabad: A district and sessions court in Islamabad ordered the production of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra BibiOn 4 April, Pakistan-based ARY News reported.

Earlier, the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad had acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in two brutality cases filed against him, ARY News reported.
Two cases have been registered against Imran Khan at Louhi Bhir and Sahala police stations during the party's long march in Islamabad. Judicial Magistrate Ayesha Kundi acquitted him in both the cases.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the Adiala Jail Superintendent to arrange a virtual meeting between Imran Khan and his lawyers until the security issues are resolved.
According to the verdict, the Islamabad High Court said that Imran Khan's lawyer had said that he was restricted from meeting his client due to security issues, ARY News reported.
PTI founder Imran Khan is facing more than 100 cases since he stepped down from the post. He is currently lodged in Adiala jail after his conviction in the Toshakhana, Sifar and “illegal” marriage cases.
In another development, a local court issued production orders for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, asking Adiala jail authorities to produce them before the court before April 20. Instructed, as stated in The Report. International news.
The district and sessions court issued the production order while hearing a petition related to the Parliament attack case, seeking the presence of Khan and Qureshi in the court proceedings.
According to The International News, Khan's lawyer Naeem Panjotha presented his arguments before Judicial Magistrate Murid Abbas, who presided over the hearing. Panjotha informed the court that the superintendent of Adiala jail does not follow any court order. He requested the court to ensure that the jail authorities follow the orders and produce Khan before it.
According to The International News, he said that the jail authorities made excuses and the PTI founder was not even being produced for hearing through video link. In response, the Judicial Magistrate acknowledged the challenges posed by Khan's imprisonment and condition in Adiala Jail.

Panjotha said that the internet works in Adiala jail, but only in the case of the PTI founder it stopped working. “Adiala jail superintendent is afraid of bringing the PTI founder on video link,” the lawyer said.
Earlier, Panjotha had filed a petition seeking to produce Khan for hearing related to his acquittal in two vandalism cases during a long march, which was rejected by Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi due to security concerns.
