The Prince will visit Surplus to Supper – a surplus food distribution charity in Surrey, south-west of London, where he will lend a hand in the kitchen and help load prepared meals into delivery vans. He will then travel to a youth center in the west. London which benefits from food delivery.
The agenda of his visit is to highlight efforts to reduce food waste, tackle greenhouse gas emissions and address food insecurity.
The couple have prioritized privacy for their family, stepping back from public roles after Princess Kate announced her cancer treatment on March 22.
Kate asked for “time, space and privacy” in a video message released that day as she and her family adjust to her diagnosis. “I am doing everything I can to process and manage this privately for the sake of my young family,” she said at the time.
She added, “It took us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that was appropriate for them and to reassure them that I would be OK.”
With both Charles and Kate absent since January due to health problems, other royals like Queen Camilla and Princess Anne have had to take on more responsibilities.
This year, on February 5, Charles revealed his cancer diagnosis after being treated for an enlarged prostate. “Her Majesty has today begun a program of routine treatment, during which doctors have advised her to suspend public-facing duties,” Buckingham Palace said.
“During this period, Her Majesty will continue to conduct state business and official paperwork as usual,” it said. While Kate was diagnosed in January after being admitted to hospital for stomach surgery.
