New Delhi: A.S. Smriti Mandhana & Company won its first title Women's Premier League 16 years of pain and disappointment for Royal Challengers Bangalore fans is finally over as they defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets to clinch the title on Sunday.
What the men's team could not achieve in the Indian Premier League since 2008, the women's team did in the second edition of the WPL, adding a trophy to the RCB cabinet.
Soon after RCB's win, social media was abuzz with congratulatory messages for the women's team.
On the other hand, the RCB men's team found themselves in the middle of a meme fest, where ridiculous comparisons were being made between them and their women counterparts.
IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals took the lead in trolling the RCB men's team with the Jethalal meme that took the internet by storm.

Other fans also followed suit and teased the men's team for their unsuccessful performance in the IPL so far.

Spinners Shreyanka Patil, Sophie Molineux and Asha Shobhana performed brilliantly for RCB in the final and took 9 wickets in total as Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 113 runs.
RCB won the title for the first time by achieving the target in the last over.
