Indian cricket team's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gave a big update about his injury on social media before the team selection for the remaining three Test matches against England. Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury during the first Test match and as a result he missed the second match in Visakhapatnam, which India won comprehensively. The five-match series is completely tied at 1-1, so India will benefit greatly from Jadeja returning from injury. The cricketer posted a picture of himself from the National Cricket Academy and captioned it – “Getting better #NCA.”

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to top the ICC Test rankings after his impressive performance against England in Visakhapatnam.

The 30-year-old took nine wickets in the match, leaving behind Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada and Ravichandran Ashwin, becoming only the fourth player from his country to regain the number one spot.

Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Bishan Singh Bedi are the other Indians who have topped the charts.

Bumrah, who was named player of the match after helping India level the five-match series with a 106-run win, ended Ashwin's 11-month long reign. Ashwin is now at third place with 499 Test wickets.

Bumrah now has 881 rating points, while Ashwin (904) and Jadeja (899) are the only Indian bowlers to have collected more rating points. Ashwin and Jadeja also have the unique distinction of jointly being at the top position in March 2017.

In the batting rankings, left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal moved up 37 places to 29th position after scoring a brilliant double century in the first innings and Shubman Gill moved up 14 places to a career-best 38th position after scoring a century in the second innings. .
