RBI projects 7 pc growth for next financial year

Mumbai: The reserve Bank of India Thursday projected GDP growth of 7 percent for 2024-25 financial yearWhich is less than the estimated 7.3 percent expansion for the current financial year.
Bi-monthly announcement monetary policy, reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das said rural demand is gaining momentum, urban consumption remains strong and the investment cycle is gaining momentum due to increased capital expenditure.
Das said that there are signs of improvement in private investment.
Real Gross Domestic Product Estimated to grow at 7 per cent for 2024-25, growth in the June and September quarters will be 7.2 per cent and 6.8 per cent respectively.
The growth rate in December and March quarter is estimated to be 7 percent and 6.9 percent respectively.
Das said domestic economic activity remains strong and growth in the current fiscal year is estimated at 7.3 percent as per NSO estimates.
“The momentum of 2023-24 is expected to continue in the 2024-25 financial year as well,” Das said.
