New Delhi: Kevin Pietersen found themselves in the middle of a tense situation on Saturday when their flight faced a diversion due to Iran launching missiles towards Israel.
Pietersen, who is going to Mumbai for the IPL match, mentioned the disturbing experience on social media. His post revealed the worrying nature of the situation.

Sharing his experience on X, the former England cricket captain wrote, “This is the first time.

Last night our plane had to turn back and put on another big load of fuel because we had to reroute to avoid Iran's missiles. Madness!!!! Anyway, in Mumbai and Wankhede later. One of my favorite cricket grounds!”

In response to the escalating situation, the Indian Embassy in Israel issued advisories to Indian citizens, urging them to remain calm and follow the safety protocols issued by the local authorities.
The Embassy assured that they are closely monitoring the situation and maintaining communication with Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of Indian citizens.
