New Delhi: Former captain of Mumbai Indians Rohit Sharma On Thursday, he became the second player after MS Dhoni to play 250 Indian Premier League matches.
Rohit achieved the feat after being included in MI's XI for the match against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Rohit, who started his IPL journey with the now-defunct Deccan Chargers in 2008, has been with MI since 2011 and led the franchise to five IPL titles.

Dhoni, who is on top in this list, has played 256 IPL matches so far.
In the 33rd match of IPL, Punjab's acting captain Sam Curran won the toss and invited Mumbai to bat first.
In the last 249 IPL matches that Rohit has played, he has 6472 runs at an average of 30.10 and strike rate of 131.22.

One of those two centuries came in Mumbai Indians' last match against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
In MI's last game, Rohit scored an unbeaten 105, but his team fell behind by 20 runs while trying to chase 207 for victory. Mumbai finished at 186/6, even though Rohit brought up his century off 61 balls.
Earlier, MI's three-match losing streak was broken with two wins at home against Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, but the loss to CSK means they will have to start all over again.
Both Mumbai and Punjab are facing defeat in their previous matches and both have lost four games each, so there will be pressure on both the teams to perform well.
