Rohit Sharma’s Lonely Walk Despite Century After CSK Beat MI Viral. Watch

Mumbai Indians stalwart Rohit Sharma registered his 8th Indian Premier League (IPL) century even as his team lost against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Rohit scored a century in 61 balls and Mumbai Indians set out to chase the target of 207 runs. Rohit was the lone warrior for the Mumbai franchise as Chennai emerged victorious by 20 runs. Hitman completed his century in the last over of the match. After finishing the game unbeaten on 105, Rohit walked back to the dugout emotionally and alone, which revealed his state of mind.

Rohit is not looking good in himself after being snatched away from the responsibility of captaincy in Mumbai Indians. He is not that jovial on the field while his reactions in the team dressing room also surprise the fans.

After MI lost the match against CSK, suffering their 4th defeat in 6 matches, Rohit's solitary move summed up his current situation in the franchise.

Rohit's century was not enough to undo the damage Chennai suffered due to the bowling of MS Dhoni and Mathisha Pathirana.

After the match, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya admitted that the target was achievable, but his team could not put in the effort that was required with the bat.

“It (the target) was definitely achievable, but they bowled very well. Pathirana was the difference. They were clever with the plans and their approach. They understood it, there is a man (Dhoni) behind the stumps. That helps what I'm doing. It was a bit high and it was about batting well and maintaining intent. We were performing quite well until we took the wicket.

“It was about what was best at that time, we could have done something different. I like to play percentage cricket, it would have been difficult for him (Dubey) against the seamers rather than the spin. We are on the road to the next four. It's a game, we need to play good cricket, we need to keep the intensity high,” he said after the game.
