The Indian cricket team will face England in the third Test of the ongoing five-match Test series in Rajkot from Thursday. This match is very important for Rohit Sharma and company as they would like to continue their momentum after winning the second test match and leveling the series 1-1. However, according to the report of Aaj Tak, special Gujarati and Kathiawadi food has been arranged for the cricketers on 13 February before the start of the match. The menu includes traditional foods like Fafda-Jalebi, Khakhra, Gathiya, Thepla, Khaman for breakfast and special Kathiawadi food like Dahi Tikari, Vagherela Rotlo (fried millet bread with curd and garlic), Khichdi Kadhi for dinner. Are included.
The report further states that captain Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul have been allotted a royal suite at Sayaji Hotel in Rajkot. Hotel director Urvesh Purohit told Aaj Tak that this arrangement has been made keeping in mind that it will be a welcome change for Indian cricketers.
Meanwhile, former Australia captain Ian Chappell feels that England under Ben Stokes will give a tough fight to India in the remaining matches of the Test series, but he backed the hosts to win it.
The five-match marquee series is tied at 1-1 after India and England secured thrilling wins in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad respectively.
“Being the home team, India should ultimately win a tough series, but they have a real battle on their hands,” Chappell wrote in his column for 'ESPN Cricinfo.'
“England, under Stokes' aggressive leadership, are a long way behind the poorly captained Joe Root side, who succumbed to spin on their last tour of the country,” he said.
