Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Krunal Pandya were involved in a light-hearted moment during the IPL 2024 match in Jaipur on Sunday. The incident happened on the second ball of the sixth over of RR's innings, when Riyan Parag was in the middle with Samson. Parag misplayed his shot as Krunal's ball took the top edge of his bat. The ball bounces towards the non-striker's end. Krunal tried to complete a catch and was bowled, but Samson, who was at the non-striker's end, stood his ground, denying Krunal the wicket.

Despite this, Krunal hugged Samson in a light-hearted moment, which has gone viral on social media.

Talking about the match, RR captain Samson won the toss and decided to bowl against LSG at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Speaking on the toss, Samson said that Riyan Parag will be his number four batsman. He said that Rovman Powell can come as an influential player during the match.

“We would like to bat first today. It looks like a good batting wicket, we were able to do both, but today we have a different combination. Coming back to Jaipur gives a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. Riyan Parag Our No. 4 will be there, Jos, Hetty, Boult – Powell can come in as an impact player,” said Samson.

Rahul, on the other hand, said that if he had won the toss, he would have batted first. The LSG captain also confirmed that Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and Naveen-ul-Haq are his four overseas players.
