According to a report, Tata New – the 'super app' launched by the Indian conglomerate in 2022 is planning to enter the food delivery sector in the coming days. The service is said to rely on technology developed by Gurgaon-based startup MagicPin to leverage the government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) instead of building its own network. The Tata group has not yet announced any plans to launch its own food delivery service in the country.
A Moneycontrol report citing anonymous sources said that “closed-user group trials” for Tata Neu's food delivery service were imminent, with the majority of users on the app expected to have a month – or perhaps more – before it could be launched. Entering the food delivery space means Tata will compete with Zomato and Swiggy – existing giants in the sector – while relying on the government-backed ONDC network to connect restaurants and delivery/logistics resources for customer orders to reach them. Will remain.

Launching in April 2022, Tata Neu is available to download on iOS and Android smartphones via the App Store and Google Play store respectively. After installing the app, users are asked to sign up with their phone number and provide location access to access the app and its services.
