Trailer of the upcoming second season of ZEE5's popular newsroom drama, The Broken News, is here. Starring Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar, the upcoming season is scheduled to premiere on May 3 on the platform.

The trailer features Awaaz Bharti's Radha Bhargava (Shriya) with Josh 24×7's Dipankar Sanyal (Jaideep) in the most intense fashion yet, as idealism vows to break the claws of sensationalism. After being jailed thanks to Dipankar, Radha returns to the forefront to take revenge by destroying Dipankar's brand of journalism.

“Believing that unbiased news reporting alone cannot counter Josh's 24×7 propaganda, he is willing to engage in unconventional methods to cleanse the corrupt system. In Radha's absence, Amina (Sonali) single-handedly takes up the responsibility of fighting for the 'truth', taking to the streets to expose the truth at great personal risk. Dipankar's brand of 'sensation' news dominates TRPs, but he is forced to use his 'sensation' ideology to influence public opinion and further his personal and corporate agenda. However, the relevant question remains the same: Now every rule will be broken in the race of breaking news! When truth becomes human, what will India see? “Reads the storyline from ZEE5.

Based on the BBC Studios television drama series, Press, The Broken News Directed by Vinay Vaikule and written by Sambit Mishra.
