Kunal Khemu's first film as a director Madgaon ExpressThe film starring Prateik Gandhi, Divyendu, Avinash Tiwari was released in theaters today. Ahead of Kunal's big day, wife Soha Ali Khan wrote an emotional note for him. He shared a video of BTS moments from the shooting, screening and promotion of the film. In one of the slides, Kunal can be seen giving instructions on the floor while daughter Inaaya sits on his lap. The video ends with Soha kissing her husband during the screening of the film. Soha started the note with the words, “It's safe to say that film sets have been a second home to you since the age of 8 Kunal; we met on a film set sixteen years ago too – maybe that's where you found yourself Tha! You have proven your worth across multiple genres as an actor, but today you share your labor of love, sweat and even tears with the audience as a writer director.”

Soha further added, “I have always been proud of you – and you have put me through a myriad of emotions from happy to angry, but the one thing you have always done is made me laugh, and in a way only you can.” You can. How do you do that? Do you stay angry at someone who makes you laugh? I've watched you work very hard on this film – right from its beginning – putting your thoughts down on paper in the lonely morning hours. But to get down to it – to run the set with confidence and to act with ease for the first time – is the time a director rarely has.”

Soha ended her post with these words, “Did I already say how proud I am of you? I wish you lots of appreciation and success my love. As it is said, an onion also gives you a lot of love.” Can make people cry, but not everyone can make people laugh. This is just the beginning – onwards and upwards my love… #MadgaonExpress @KunalKemmu PS We are right where I want to be…..” Take a look:

Wishing you more success and I'm sure this is just the beginning… From the witty dialogues to the moments…friendship romance.” Song… You made it! Congratulations. And to everyone involved, who took this journey with you from start to finish! The boys were talented and so were the girls! Family always. For the future that is yet to come. ..but for now, live and salute this moment!” To keep an eye:

I loved writing so when I wrote the script for the film, I Thought I'd just act in it.” .People who read the script said that I had written the film differently and that I should make it myself, but at that time I did not take it seriously… I am very happy that I decided to direct the film myself … I enjoyed a lot.”
