Tomorrow Capital invests in kidney start-up VitusCare


New Delhi: capital tomorrow$100 million vc fundInvesting $2.7 million Vituscare on the part of Series A funding Round.
Vituscare, a kidney care start-up founded in 2017, has emerged as a quality player dialysis careEspecially in areas where access to such services is limited, a company statement said.
The fresh capital infusion will empower Vituscare to aggressively expand its operations, aiming for deeper penetration into the hinterland.
Additionally, the funding round saw participation from existing investor 1Crowd, along with support from 3i Partners and a consortium of angel investors, bringing the total funding across all funding rounds to approximately $5 million.
Tomorrow Capital, part of Lodha Ventures, has invested in healthcare, fitness and education.
There are more than 5 million patients suffering from ESRD (end stage renal disease) in India, however, only 5% of these receive regular dialysis due to reasons such as affordability, lack of awareness and lack of access. Even today, most dialysis services are skewed towards big cities, further exacerbating this problem.
