Moscow made no official comment, but officials in Russia's southern Krasnodar region said firefighters were at the site of the air crash, without elaborating.

Videos on social media show several flashes of light in the dark night sky, followed by another video showing a large fire in a rural area.
Krasnodar regional authorities said that fire units were responding to a fire of “approximately 250 square metres” and that no local homes were in danger.
It said “two aircraft” were involved in the incident, but did not say which ones they were.
“The fire is currently under control. Law enforcement and special services are also working at the site,” he said.
