New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission has issued a notification for this upsc ifs 2024 Exam today, 14th February. Candidates who are interested and want to apply for Indian Forest Service Exam 2024 can visit the official website and submit the application form.
As per the notification, the registration window will close on March 5, 2024. Therefore, those who are interested in applying for the exam should not wait for the last day but should apply as soon as possible to avoid any last minute issues like servers. Down or the site crashed.
Candidates wishing to apply for the Indian Forest Service Examination should know that they have to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and successfully qualify it to proceed to the second stage of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, which consists of Consists of a written examination and an interview.

How to apply for UPSC IFS 2024?
Step 1: Visit the official website
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “Exam Notification: Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 through CS (P) Examination 2024.”
Step 3: Now tap on the “Click here” link to open the login window.
Step 4: A new window will open, enter your login details and submit.
Step 5: Proceed to fill the UPSC IFS Application Form 2024 and upload all the required documents.
Step 6: Download it and take a printout of it for further reference.

Candidates except Women, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 to apply for the examination. Fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI or Net Banking.
UPSC IFS 2024: Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The age of the candidate should be between 21 to 32 years as on 1st August 2024, i.e. they should be born between 2nd August 1992 and 1st August 2003.
  • A candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering from any recognized university is also acceptable.

UPSC IFS 2024 exam will be conducted in two stages – Civil Services Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for Main and IFS Main Examination (Written and Interview). The examination will be conducted to fill a total of 150 vacancies in the Indian Forest Service.
