New Delhi: During the centenary celebrations of Indraprastha Women's College at the North Campus of Delhi University, vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar stressed the important role of women in Indian democracy. he urged corporates to actively support Education Of girlsTheir importance as primary stakeholders in the democratic process was highlighted.
“Our businessmen donate a lot to foreign NGOs. Corporates should come forward and utilize their CSR funds contribute Towards girls' education,'' he said. Dhankhar said that educating a girl can change an entire generation, thereby starting a revolution.
Inviting the college students to visit the new Parliament House, he described them as the soldiers who will bring the golden age of 'Amrit Kaal' to the country in the next 25 years.
Dignitaries present at the centenary celebrations included Vice President's wife Sudesh Dhankhar, Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh and IP College Chairman Alok B Sriram.
Addressing the students, Singh shared his views on the 100-year journey of IP College for Women and its phenomenal growth in all fields ahead of the completion of 100 years of Delhi University last year.
He also appreciated the contribution of the college to the overall academic excellence of the university.
