Both Samson and Avesh laughed it off with their teammates as both escaped injury.
Despite the drop catch, Royals managed to restrict Punjab to 147 runs for 8 wickets in the 27th match of the league.
For Rajasthan, Keshav Maharaj and Avesh Khan took two wickets each, while Trent Boult, Kuldeep Sen and Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket each.
