We all love Aamir Khan. But we love him a little more when he shares entertaining tales from his personal life. Recently, the actor was seen as a guest in Kapil Sharma's Netflix show. The Great Indian Kapil Show, There, the veteran star recalled how his ex-wife Reena Dutta slapped him when she was giving birth to their son Junaid Khan. When Kapil asked Aamir Khan if he has noticed people's behavior as an actor, Aamir replied, “Let me give you an idea of what I notice. This was the day when Junaid was about to be born. Reena ji was having labor pains. We were in the hospital. And like a good husband, I did some breathing exercises. As the labor intensified, I tried to calm her. But I got a slap, after which I was told, 'Stop this nonsense!' Reena ji was in a lot of pain. He also bit my hand.”
“Later, I realized what was happening around me. One thing I notice is when a person is in extreme pain… like women during labor. I didn't even plan this. This is just happening to me. I looked at Reena's face and when she was experiencing that pain… normally we think that a person's face would be distorted by pain… but it is not so. When the pain is severe the expression is one of surprise. This is disbelief. A person is in denial. She could not estimate the intensity of her pain. Which I noted as an actor. Later when Reena came home with Junaid, I told her this and she was very angry! (laughs),” Aamir Khan said.
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta married in 1986 and divorced after 16 years in 2002. Both of them raise their children together – Junaid Khan and Ira Irani. Later in 2005, Aamir Khan married Kiran Rao and in 2011 they welcomed their son Azad. Aamir and Kiran separated in 2021. Even after the divorce, Aamir, Reena and Kiran have been seen together on various occasions. In January, Aamir and Reena's daughter Ira got married and Kiran also became a part of the celebration. On the work front, Kiran also made a comeback into direction missing ladies Which was produced by Aamir Khan.
